Meet the friendly staff at Park City Pet Resort!
Growing up in a rural farming community, Carl Prior fell in love with animals. After completing his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, he completed his DVM at Colorado State University's renowned veterinary teaching hospital.
Rachael grew up in Utah and it took her a while to find her passion, and what she wanted to do. She took a leap of faith from a desk job to this. Animals have become her passion and helping them succeed in the dog world.
She has an Alaskan Malamute who gives her a run for her money, and it has taught her a lot about dog behavior, She is knowledgeable about the pets and their needs, and how to help them adjust to the new routine! She has helped design the flow of the additional services, helps with the social media. If you have any issues or concerns regarding your pets stay please do not hesitate to ask!
Mae grew up in St George UT, she has had a love for the 4-legged pets since she could remember! She is our team lead, she helps with the kennel tech staff, and takes care of our regular daycares! Mae only planned to stay just for the summer of 2022. However she fell in love with all the ways of the Resort and will never leave now!
Mae has knowledge of all the pets that walk through the door, their feeding, and meds, and who their friends are. If you have any questions about your pets stay/behavior Mae is the one to ask!
Talli is one of our kennel tech's here at Park City Pet Resort! She has been working with us for a little over a year now, and absolutely loves working with all of your cute fur babies! Each dog and cat we care for are all unique in their own way and she has done an amazing job attending to each animals personal needs! She has stated working with them has been an amazing experience! Talli is originally from southern Utah, she grew up helping her grandparents as a ranch hand, and she has loved animals and working with them for as long as she can remember! Throughout her childhood she has had family dogs and cats of all breeds, and now as an adult she has 2 personal kitties, An Axolotl named Bubbah Chonks, and 2 other kitties they have as house mates! She looks forward to seeing all of our regulars each day, and is always excited to meet all of the new kiddos coming in for their first stays! Don't hesitate to ask her any questions, she's always good at getting any information to the right people!
After 30 years in corporate management, i decided to pursue my passion which is working with dogs. I rescued my own dog, Rico, in 2013 and from there our adventures with dogs started.
i was fortunate to be able to attend a week long workshop with Cesar Milan at his dog psychology center in Santa Clarita, CA in December 2013 and it was a life changing experience! At the same time I was able to meet his head trainer, Heather Beck, who has a business in Draper, UT and I started to attend her workshops also.
I spent the next 9 years attending workshops with Heather and learned how to read dogs body language and how to communicate with them in their own language which is using calm confident energy.
i was fortunate again to find Park City Pet Resort where I am able to apply my skills to help socialize the dogs we care for. It is the most rewarding experience to help a dog who is struggling with the daycare or boarding environment become happy and confident and see them enjoying their experience.

Dogs should have been the rulers of the earth, and the master of humans. They humble us; teach us kindness, love, forgiveness, and trust. They instill in us compassion, morals, commitment, and hard work. They understand our thoughts and emotions without the use of words. They cuddle us when we're sad, they play and laugh with us when we're happy, they stand by our-sides when we're angry; and they never abandon us.
When we loose them, we fear of having a relationship with another, but they deserve our support and affection. I proudly strive to provide as many animals of all breeds, shapes, and sizes a thriving-healthy life, because that's what they provide for me.
